Downtown Clients Win Big at the Grammys

March 15, 2021

Yesterday, the Recording Academy hosted the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards and 13 Downtown-represented clients contributed to award-winning works. Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees!

With a record number of nominations, our clients wrote, produced, or otherwise contributed to 12 titles that won in 13 categories — including Best R&B Album, Best Alternative Music Album, Best Contemporary Blues Album, Best Reggae Album, Best Americana Album, Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Best Opera Recording, Best Rock Performance, Best American Roots Performance, Best American Roots Song, Best Improvised Jazz Solo, and Best Music Video.

Grammy-winner Brandi Carlile performed John Prine’s posthumously-released “I Remember Everything,” which received awards for Best American Roots Performance and Best American Roots Song, in memoriam to the late folk hero.
